About Recon Group, Incorporated:

Recon Group, Incorporated was formed in 1997 by brothers James P. Schlaffer and Edward J. Schlaffer

 who have spent, collectively, over 37 years in the construction business with specialization in insurance

 restoration projects.  In 1997, James and Edward Schlaffer saw the need for experts in the fields of

construction and cleaning estimating related to property damage losses, and thus, Recon Group,

Incorporated was born.

Since our inception, Recon Group, Incorporated has represented numerous insurance carriers on

a statewide basis.  It has had involvement in various types of losses to various types of properties. 

In the New Jersey and New York area, we have represented insurance carriers on all size losses, and regularly

perform fire rebuilds, water mitigation, mold remediation, content manipulation. Repair work or any

work on these losses is with certified technicians and builders that have many years experience in the field

of disaster restoration.  We are a full service business for the insurance company and insured alike.
